Why do diving incidents continue to happen even when divers have good training, reliable equipment, and clear procedures?

This interactive workshop introduces Human Factors and explores how communication, situational awareness, decision-making, teamwork, leadership, and the conditions surrounding a dive influence performance.

Through diving stories, group discussion, and hands-on exercises, including a fun exercise with Jenga, we’ll look beyond the final mistake to better understand how problems develop and what we can do differently in our own diving operations.

No previous Human Factors training is required. Come prepared to participate, share experiences, and leave with practical ideas you can apply to your next dive, briefing, or debrief.
