Problem: Tape residue from wrapping lines can be a headache! After a while, it becomes a sticky mess on hoses and ropes.

Solution: To avoid the sticky residue, use pre wrap! Pre wrap is fairly cheap (Athletic Pre Wrap on Amazon) and acts as a barrier between the adhesive and your hose/rope. We tried this for the first time on half our sets and it paid off. The tape and pre-wrap just fell off when cut.
Wrap the lines 2-3 times with pre-wrap and follow up with tape. The pre wrap sticks to itself which makes it easy to do on your own. The front-end labor of adding pre wrap is far less than the back-end labor of peeling old tape off and cleaning multiple lines.
