DSO Orientation and Roundtable: Leading Safe and Effective Dive Programs: Compliance, Training, Leadership & Volunteer Management
Cost: $75
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Workshop Introduction:
Dive Safety Officers wear many hats such as trainers, compliance officers, leaders, and problem solvers. This interactive roundtable brings DSOs together to share insights, challenges, and solutions around the core pillars of effective dive program management: compliance, training, team leadership, and volunteer oversight.

Facilitated by experienced DSOs, this session offers a mix of guided discussion and open Q&A to help you strengthen your program, streamline operations, and build a culture of safety and accountability. Whether you’re refining your dive manual, training new divers, managing limited resources, or navigating OSHA/AAUS standards, this is your opportunity to connect, collaborate, and level up together.

Room 2 – Empathy at Depth: Communicating and Leading by Values in Dive Programs

Cost: $75
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Workshop Introduction

This workshop introduces empathetic leadership skills tailored to the unique, high-trust environment of professional diving. Participants will practice communication, coaching, and conflict navigation strategies that strengthen psychological safety, team cohesion, and alignment with organizational mission and values. Through dive-relevant scenarios and peer exercises, the session equips supervisors and emerging leaders with practical tools to reduce miscommunication, build trust, and model behaviors that drive safety and operational excellence.

Room 3

Beyond the Basics: Realistic Emergency Response Scenarios for Dive Teams
Cost: $75
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Introduction:

Take your CPR and First Aid skills beyond the classroom with this immersive, scenario-based workshop designed for the ADPA community. Participants will navigate realistic emergencies that add pressure, complexity, and team dynamics while challenging them to think, communicate, and act under stress. This workshop returns by request for Training Day to help sharpen real-world readiness where it matters most.

Room 3

Beyond Protocols: Human-Centered Leadership for Dive Safety Professionals
Cost: $75
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Introduction:

Why does leadership matter in dive safety? Because checklists don’t lead people, leaders do. Protocols help protect us, but people make safety happen. As Dive Safety Officers, our leadership, not just our paperwork, shapes culture, trust, and decision-making when it counts. This workshop is about owning that responsibility and leading with purpose, using proven principles to build safer, stronger dive teams. Participants will also receive a workbook to guide them along in this workshop.
