2024 Training Day Highlights
The 2024 Training Day, held on Sunday, November 17th, welcomed over 50 attendees and featured expert-led workshops:
- DAN Instructor Course – Taught by Katie Cooper and Shawn Harper, resulting in 4 new DAN Instructors.
- AAUS Q&A Session – Hosted by AAUS President Jessica Keller and President-Elect Andrew Morgan, covering AAUS membership benefits, updates, and leveraging the scientific diving exemption.
- DAN Safety Updates – Presented by Dr. Frauke Tillmans, discussed bubble variability, CCR safety, and post-COVID medical updates.
- Surface Supply Carts Workshop – Led by James Bonovich, Paul Dimeo, and Jim McAlister covering sourcing, building, and optimizing surface supply carts.
DSO Roundtable – Moderated by Chris O’Neil, featured small group discussions on industry challenges and best practices.
